Is the dandelion real?

It is not an artificial flower or reproduction.
Is every Dandelion Sphere unique?

Yes. Every Dandelion Sphere contains a real dandelion, and nature never makes the same thing twice.
The shape, density and delicate arrangement of the seeds vary naturally from one piece to another. The piece you receive is therefore entirely individual.

Why are no two Dandelion Spheres identical?

Some grow perfectly round and full. Others are slightly asymmetric. Some are incredibly delicate, while others are dense and dramatic.
We do not try to make nature look identical.

How are the dandelions selected?

Are natural variations normal?

Taraxacum is the botanical name for the dandelion. Orbis is Latin for sphere or circle.
TARAXACUM ORBIS is the name of our Dandelion Sphere — a fleeting piece of nature held forever.
How is the dandelion preserved?

Each dandelion is carefully prepared and preserved within a crystal-clear solid medium, allowing its extraordinarily delicate structure to be seen from every angle.
The process captures a moment that, in nature, might disappear with the next breath of wind.
Can the dandelion seeds move inside the Sphere?

No.
The moment has been captured. The dandelion and its individual seeds are held within the solid transparent form.
What once could disappear with a single breath is now held still.
Is the Sphere made of glass?

No.
Although its clarity and weight can give it a glass-like presence, the Dandelion Sphere is not made from glass.
Its transparent solid form allows the delicate dandelion to be protected and viewed from every direction.
Why is there a stem inside the Sphere?

The stem is intentionally retained as part of the composition.
It connects the suspended seed head to the flower it once was and gives the Dandelion Sphere its distinctive sculptural form.
Will my Dandelion Sphere look exactly like the photograph?

Not exactly — and that is part of its beauty.
The photographs show the character, proportions and appearance you can expect, but every real dandelion is different.

Can I choose the exact dandelion I will receive?

How long will my Dandelion Sphere last?

Can I touch and hold it?

The dandelion itself is safely enclosed, so the Sphere can be held and viewed from different angles.
We recommend handling it with care and always placing it on a stable surface.
Can I place it in direct sunlight?

We recommend avoiding prolonged direct sunlight.
A position with beautiful natural light can reveal extraordinary detail within the dandelion, but continuous strong sunlight and excessive heat should be avoided.
Does my Dandelion Sphere need a stand?

Not necessarily.
A Dandelion Sphere can be displayed on its own or paired with one of our stands. A stand gives the Sphere additional presence and allows it to be presented as a sculptural object.

Where does a Dandelion Sphere look best?
